Mark your calendars! PADI Women’s Dive Day is back on 19 July 2025, celebrating 11 years of empowering female divers, fostering connections, and inspiring ocean exploration. Since its inception in 2015, this annual event has brought together thousands of divers and ocean enthusiasts from across the globe to share their love for the underwater world.
PADI Women’s Dive Day provides a unique opportunity to connect with your local community, motivating new students to take their first breath underwater, enticing divers to take get their next certification, or simply giving a reason to connect with the ocean and each other.
This Year’s Theme: Celebrating Diversity in Diving
For 2025, the PADI Women’s Dive Day logo embraces a new tagline: “Celebrating Diversity in Diving.” The logo features the Pantone color of the year, Mocha Mousse, in a gradient pattern that transitions from light cream to deep brown, symbolizing the wide spectrum of races and skin colors that make up the global dive community. This design reflects PADI’s commitment to inclusivity, emphasizing that diving is for everyone.
Underwater, we all speak the same language, and the ocean welcomes all — regardless of gender, race, background, or ability. This year’s campaign visuals reflect the incredible diversity of the diving world, reinforcing PADI’s commitment to create belonging and gender balance across the dive industry.
More Than Just a Day: A Global Movement
PADI Women’s Dive Day isn’t just about one day of celebration; it’s about creating a lasting impact. Since the initiative began, women now account for nearly 40% of recreational-level PADI certifications worldwide, narrowing the gender gap in diving by 5%. Over the past decade, PADI Members have hosted Women’s Dive Day events in 183 countries, creating opportunities for women to connect, lead, and inspire others to dive into ocean exploration and conservation.
Key milestones include:
- Sustained Growth – Female recreational certifications have grown faster than male certifications nearly every year since 2015.
- Global Recognition – PADI Women’s Dive Day has been featured in more than 1,500 press pieces, amplifying women’s voices and contributions to the dive community.
