With the overwhelming support of the dive community for more than ten years, PADI Women’s Dive Day has unquestionably grown into a worldwide celebration that brings everyone together to foster a global community, encouraging divers of all genders, ages, backgrounds and experience levels to safely and confidently seek adventure and save the ocean. Since 2015, PADI Members have hosted Women’s Dive Day events across 183 countries, introducing thousands of new divers to the underwater world, building confidence and creating lasting community. This initiative has gained traction across this industry with both males and females alike over the years.

On 18 July 2026, the 12th Annual PADI Women’s Dive Day invites you to lead a global movement that goes beyond celebration – connecting more people to the ocean through purpose and action.

In 2026, we will build on the momentum by aligning with something every diver can contribute to: protecting sharks, rays and ocean biodiversity through citizen science – turning every dive into meaningful impact.

This year’s theme for Women’s Dive Day is Celebrate Community. Create Change.

PADI Women’s Dive Day provides a unique opportunity to connect with your local dive community!

5 Tips To Make the Most of PADI Women’s Dive Day

1. Host a local activity – Consider using PADI Women’s Dive Day as an opportunity to invite new and existing customers into your shop. Invite your community to join you for a local dive to explore a new dive site – some people may not be aware of all the great adventures waiting to be had near their own backyard. Use this day to “Celebrate Community and Create Change” by hosting a conservation event for your community. With the launch of the two new citizen science programs, the Global Shark & Ray Census and the AWARE Biodiversity Survey beside the existing Dive Against Debris program, there are plenty of options to organize exciting conservation dives for your community.

All three citizen science programs can be accessed in the Conservation Action Portal.

2. Run Women’s Dive Day courses – Women’s Dive Day offers an excellent opportunity to get new divers certified and help existing female divers continue their education. Offer try-dive experiences, like DSDs, or plan an Open Water Diver course for women in the local community. Schedule Rescue Diver courses to build confidence and create capable divers. You can also encourage your female divers to complete a specialty they might not have tried before – like Night Diver or the brand new AWARE Shark & Ray Conservation Specialty.

3. Celebrate with the global dive community – If you’re not able to host an event this year (or even if you are!), join the world’s largest dive community and take part in PADI’s online content and social activations that celebrate the female dive community and the important role they play in improving ocean health. On July 18th, join PADI on social media for PADI Women’s Dive Day posts. Leading up to the day, explore blog articles and videos at padi.com/women. Share this content and invite your divers to follow along with the #padiwomen and #padiwomensdiveday hashtags. Or, spotlight women on your team who are having an impact on the local community or ocean health. Share their stories on your social media channels using #padiwomen.

4. Market your event locally – Invite your divers, potential customers and women in your local community to celebrate with you. Download the PADI Women’s Dive Day Marketing Toolkit for various marketing assets, including social posts, images, email headers and a press release template. Be sure to tag your photos and posts with #padiwomen and #padiwomensdiveday.

5. Benefit from PADI Marketing horsepower and register your event – PADI Dive Centers, Resorts and Professionals can easily register their events on the PADI Conservation Activities Locator via PADI Adventures to generate awareness of their events. The PADI Marketing Team will be driving potential new students and experienced divers to find an event near them through communications, marketing and public relations efforts. Registering for your event has never been easier! Log in to the Extranet to register your event now. It’s easy! Simply create an Adventure – a PADI Course, Dive Trip, Snorkelling Trip, Social Event or Conservation Activity – and tag with the “Women’s Dive Day” Special Event.
