Who Is the Program Designed for?
For all renewed PADI EMEA Instructors, whether you’ve just completed your Instructor Development Course (IDC) or you’re a seasoned Master Instructor, this program offers something valuable for everyone.
Released in Q4 2024, the EMEA Advanced Training Academy has been taught by Course Directors across the EMEA region and feedback has highlighted how this interactive, workshop-based program can increase knowledge of PADI systems, teaching materials and build confidence in Instructors from Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) to Master Instructor (MI) level.
What Is It?
What makes the PADI EMEA Advanced Training Academy truly unique is the flexibility Course Directors have to tailor content to their students’ needs. It’s a powerful way to advance your professional development, deepen your knowledge, sharpen your skills, and boost your confidence in the classroom and beyond.
The program can be delivered face-to-face or online and over a single day or spread across multiple sessions to suit different schedules.
Topics Include:
- Making the most of the PADI Pros’ Site (This presentation has been updated since launch to reflect the changes to the Pros’ Site as the classic site has been closed.)
- Conducting successful PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster courses
- Risk management and best practices
Languages Available:
The program is available in 7 languages – English, Arabic, French, German, Polish, Italian and Spanish.
Some Program Feedback
Course Directors (CDs):
Course Director Davide De Lorenzi (CD – 984651) believes the program is well done. He added exercises from the Rescue Diver and Divemaster courses and included using a lift bag.
Instructors:
Open Water Scuba Instructor Marco Dall’Oglio (OWSI – 521930) said that, in addition to the training content, the program provided an excellent opportunity to compare with other dive professionals in an atmosphere of collaboration and mutual growth. “At the end of the day I received PADI training credits,” he said, “but more importantly I gained new tools and insights to improve as an instructor and as a dive educator.”
Dive Store:
Craig Williams, owner of PADI Five Star IDC DiveWise Malta (S – 2080), has new instructors joining for the high season. He has used the PADI EMEA Advanced Training Academy Rescue Diver workshop as an introductory session for all instructors, allowing team members to gel with each other while also giving them confidence to be ready in case of a potential incident.
