The unified PADI app combines the features of the PADI Training app, PADI app and PADI Adventures app. With its simplified interface, you and your customers now can quickly access the dive tools you need all in one spot.

While similar to the previous PADI app home-screen, the new version links to:

  • PADI eCards – for instant certification and credential recognition
  • PADI eLearning programs – for viewing online, plus the ability to download to use offline
  • Dive Log – for logging both training and recreational dives, online and offline, with quick verification
  • Dive Tools – to review hand signals, knots and checklists
  • Dive Shop Locator – to find the nearest PADI Center
  • PADI Adventures – to discover, plan and book your next dive adventures

Having just one PADI app allows divers to seamlessly move from learning to logging dives to staying inspired by finding their next fun dive or course via the PADI Adventures platform.

How To Get Started With the Unified PADI App

If you already have the PADI app on your device, it will automatically update if you allow auto updates. If not, you’ll need to download the new version from the Apple App Store for Apple® iOS devices and Google Play for Android™ devices.

Requirements: Apple iOS 12.0 or later. Android 6.0 or higher. All devices should be no more than 3 models old for the ideal experience.

To get started, simply log in using your PADI username and password. New users will need to first create a PADI account

As a PADI Pro, you can also link directly to the PADI Pros’ Site. Plus, one of the best new features is the ability to quickly verify your student divers’ logged training dives using a new QR code option. While the process for logging training dives remains the same, the verification process just became much simpler. Here are the steps:

  1. After a training dive, you guide divers as they complete the dive log.
  2. When ready, divers submit the dive for verification. They can choose from two options – scan instructor’s QR code or the current method of submitting the dive for verification.
  3. Since you’re sitting with them, you show your QR code on your screen. You’ll find it in the “More” tab in the bottom navigation.
  4. Your student divers scan the QR and the dive is verified. You don’t have to do anything else. Simple and straightforward.

If for some reason you’re not able to verify the log on the spot, the current method of submitting the dive via email notification and online verification will still work.

Additional Important Information

The PADI Training app will continue to operate independently during a transition period. If student divers started studying using the PADI Training app, they should complete the program on that app. All new eLearning programs should use the new PADI app.

Remind divers that the best experience with PADI eLearning® is to study online. The offline option is available for situations when they know internet connectivity will be limited due to travel or being in a remote location. They can download eLearning sections for study offline as necessary for those times.

The PADI Adventures app will also continue to operate independently during a transition period. Make sure your dive training and experience offerings as well as conservation activities are well represented on PADI Adventures, because finding and booking adventures will be even easier for PADI app users.

As with all technology, new features and improvements will be added over time with the goal of continuing to make diving more accessible, enjoyable and connected. Check that you have the new app on your devices and start using it for learning, logging and booking dive adventures.
