You can no longer register Discover Scuba® Diving (DSD®) participants via the retired OLPC.
As reminded in the Second Quarter 2026 Training Bulletin, you must register DSD participants within seven days of completing the experience.
There have previously been four ways to register participants:
- Use DSD eLearning, then register participants via the DSD® Participant Management portal – this is the preferred and easiest method.
- Have participants complete the registration section of the Discover Scuba Diving Participant Guide, then submit it to your PADI Regional Headquarters.
- Complete the Discover Scuba Diving Program Registration Form (10119), which allows you to list eight participants, and submit it to your PADI Regional Headquarters.
- Log in to the Online Processing Center (OLPC) on the PADI Pros’ Site, and register participants there.
However, the OLPC has been retired, and option 4 is no longer available. The new method for digitally registering participants is via the Student Management Portal (SMP). If you’re still purchasing and providing each participant with a Discover Scuba Diving Participant Guide, you’ll receive a processing code with each guide. This code will allow you to digitally register the participant via SMP.
Keep in mind that DSD eLearning is available in 29 languages. It’s easily accessed by participants via a QR code you provide, and digital registration is quick, with only a few clicks required by you. But, if you still need to use the Discover Scuba Diving Participant Guide, you have this new option for digitally registering participants available for the short term – this method is not planned as a long term option. Consider transitioning to DSD eLearning soon.
