At the end of July, Bahrain Diving Volunteer Team supported by Delma Marine – PADI Five Star Diving Center – has organized a Diving Festival with the objective to promote diving activities through free PADI Discover Scuba Diving.
The festival started under the best auspices of HE Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Industries, Commerce and Tourism who personally attended the event!
The goal of the event was to provide nondivers a careful, enjoyable and closely supervised experience that introduced them to the joys of diving and the underwater world, while of course encouraging further participation.
Organized at Marassi Beach, the event saw more than 400 participants over the weekend taking their first breath underwater in a highly supervised, controlled and relaxed manner.
Under the guidance of PADI Professionals, nondivers were able to learn basic safety concepts, put on equipment and swim around underwater while being closely supervised.
