Instructor Development Update Events

We are pleased to invite you to join us at one of the Instructor Development Updates events taking place in 2016.

These live events will give you a chance to be updated on the latest Standards changes to the Instructor Development Course, and provide a broader overview of the exciting PADI developments planned for 2016. Additionally, the updates will allow you to complete live evaluation practice alongside an Instructor Examiner in either confined water or in a knowledge development session.* You will evaluate real time sessions and have an opportunity to discuss your scores with an Examiner. Further to this, you will also have an opportunity look at marketing techniques for your Instructor Development Courses, and address any general PADI questions you may have. Each update will conclude with a social event alongside PADI staff and other PADI members.

Attendance at each event is limited and open only to IDC Staff Instructors, Master Instructors and Course Directors**. These events will meet the Course Director Update requirements. They also count towards seminar credit for Master Instructor and CDTC applications.

Can’t make these dates? Don’t worry – an online update will also be available later in 2016!

*The evaluations will involve a live role play, with PADI staff acting as students and instructors. You will be able to watch and evaluate alongside an Examiner, with the opportunity get feedback on your evaluation based upon their control scores. Confined water presentations will not require you to use scuba and evaluation will be conducted by snorkelling. Evaluation slates are provided – you should bring a mask and snorkel, along with appropriate exposure protection if you wish to participate. Participation is optional. Where a pool option is not possible, a live role play by PADI staff of knowledge development evaluations will be provided.
