This year, we’re thrilled to launch something special for the next generation of ocean lovers and leaders—the PADI Junior AmbassaDiver™ program! Created for young divers aged 10 to 17, this new initiative empowers passionate young people to share their love of diving, ocean exploration, and marine conservation with their communities and peers.

As a PADI Member, you’re in a unique position to identify and mentor the rising stars in your diving community. If you know a young diver who lives and breathes the underwater world, this is their chance to shine!

What Is a Junior AmbassaDiver?

The Junior AmbassaDiver role mirrors that of our standard AmbassaDiver program, with a few key adaptations for younger ocean advocates. These young divers serve as role models, helping to:

  • Inspire their peers to learn to dive and explore the underwater world.
  • Promote ocean conservation by participating in cleanups, conservation programs, or PADI AWARE initiatives.
  • Share their passion for the ocean through storytelling, social media, community events, or dive shop activities.
  • Build connections with other young divers and contribute to a global network of like-minded changemakers.

Junior AmbassaDivers lead by example, proving that you’re never too young to make a difference.

Why Nominate a Junior Diver?

Selected Junior AmbassaDivers receive the same perks as our standard AmbassaDivers, including:

  • Official recognition as a PADI Junior AmbassaDiver
  • Opportunities to collaborate with PADI on campaigns and content
  • Support to grow their influence and impact as a voice for the ocean

It’s an incredible way to reward and encourage young divers who are already making waves or who are ready to start.

How To Apply

We’ll be accepting applications for the inaugural Junior AmbassaDiver class from May 15 to June 15, 2025. We would like to encourage PADI Members to share this opportunity with passionate young divers and their families, or even nominate someone from your dive community!

Whether they’re already diving regularly, organizing beach cleanups, or sharing marine life facts with everyone they meet, we want to hear their story.

Let’s work together to build a brighter future for our ocean, one young diver at a time. The next generation of dive leaders starts here.
