PADI is very excited to have partnered with the International Ocean Film Tour in 2023 to be one of their main sponsors.
The International Ocean Film Tour Volume 9 is starting in Spring 2023, showcasing independent ocean-based documentaries to inspire ocean lovers, sports and adventure enthusiasts as well as conservationists and travellers.
This unique collection of short films from around the globe document the beauty and power of the ocean. They showcase different water sports like diving, surfing and sailing, and highlight important ocean conservation topics such as shark finning and overfishing.
The face of the Ocean Film Tour Vol. 9 is PADI Divemaster Madison Stewart. She is passionate about sharks and aims to stop shark finning in Indonesia with her Project HIU. Madison is also one of three female protagonists in the film “The Power of Activism“ that will be screened during the tour.
From March until the end of May 2023 there will be over 130 shows in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg attracting between 50.000 and 65.000 visitors.
Being part of this film tour is a great opportunity for PADI to drive brand awareness and new diver acquisition through the Live Unfiltered campaign. PADI Dive Centers will be present at screenings to chat to the visitors about PADI certifications, scuba diving and protecting our oceans.
The PADI AWARE Foundation is proud to be one of the supported NGOs during this year’s tour and to be able to highlight it´s conservation mission to an active and ocean loving audience.
