PADI Rescue Diver Manual Updated
The PADI Rescue Diver Manual has a new look and revised Knowledge Reviews to match the PADI Rescue Diver TouchTM. You’ll want to get updated Knowledge Review Answer Keys before you teach your next PADI Rescue Diver course.
When your next order of PADI Rescue Diver Crew-Paks arrives, you’ll notice that the PADI Rescue Diver Manual has a new look. It’s been updated with new imagery to match the PADI Rescue Diver Touch. It also has a few minor text changes, such as updating the emergency care ABCDs to the current AB-CABS format in the Cycle of Care. However, the basic content is the same as the previous manual, so your student divers receive the same information no matter if they study with the previous manual, updated manual or the Touch product.
One change you need to be aware of is that the Knowledge Reviews were rewritten so that the questions are the same in both the Touch and updated printed manual. The current exam and answer key are to be used for both PADI Rescue Diver Touch and well as the updated PADI Rescue Diver Manual.
You can download the revised PADI Rescue Diver Knowledge Review Answer Keys from the PADI Pros’ Site, under Training Essentials/Curriculum/Exams and Assessments/Rescue Diver/Knowledge Reviews (rev 04/16). Be sure to get these updated Knowledge Review Answer Keys before you teach your next PADI Rescue Diver course.
Keep in mind that translated versions of the revised answer keys will be available soon and the PADI Rescue Diver Prescriptive Lesson Guides will be updated in the future.

Rescue Diver Touch
Have you started using Rescue Diver Touch in your courses?
Rescue Diver Touch is an interactive version of the PADI Rescue Diver Manual that incorporates the PADI Rescue Diver Video. Student divers self-study by interacting with the Touch, then at the end of each section complete the Knowledge Review. After completing all five sections and Knowledge Reviews, student divers take the Rescue Diver Final Exam.
Similar to the PADI Open Water Diver Touch™, student divers who don’t have immediate access to the internet may complete the Knowledge Reviews and Final Exam offline, submitting their results later when they have internet access. Rescue Diver Touch users receive an eRecord documenting completion of Knowledge Reviews and the final exam. Just as you do with eLearners, administer the Rescue Diver Course Online Quick Review to Rescue Diver Touch users.
Like other digital products, you purchase PADI Rescue Diver Touch through the PADI Online Shop or from your PADI Sales Team. Rescue Diver Touch access codes appear as available codes in your PADI Online Processing Center, where you can assign them to student divers. PADI Rescue Diver Touch comes in a Digital Certification Pak, along with the Diving Accident Management Work Slate (digital), PADI Rescue Diver eManual, access to a web viewer version of the Touch, and certification card processing.
The PADI Rescue Diver Touch is now available in English for use with iOS and most Android devices. Look for other languages throughout 2016.
