A quick bio from Chris Ball:
“I am a Consultant in the PADI Retail and Resort Associations Department, processing new centre applications, upgrades and renewals for the whole EMEA region.
My general interests include; following my local football club Bristol Rovers (sometimes through the depths of hell it would seem!), playing instruments, particularly guitar, and, of course, diving when I can! ”
Fun stuff…
When did you first learn to dive? – Early in 2006
How many dives have you done? – I’ve logged around 50+
What is the first bit of dive equipment you bought? – A pair of Lidl fins (only the best quality! Ha, ha). I later went to a local dive shop I may add, and bought a more robust pair.
If you could only pack one bit of dive equipment to take with you on a trip what would it be? – I always take my mask and snorkel abroad with me.
What is your favourite dive site in the UK? – Portland Bill.
What is your favourite dive site in the world? – Well, I don’t have a massive amount to choose from unfortunately, but probably Caleta De Fuste (Canary Islands), which was pretty cool, purely because of the Atlantic triggerfish that attacked us whilst we stumbled across them.
What song do you currently like to listen to before you go diving? – Any fast paced metal track gets me up for anything.
What is your favourite animal underwater? – I love all underwater animals! If I had to pick one, it would probably be the blue whale.
What animal would you love to see on your next dive? – A Blue Whale….Whale Sharks would be pretty awesome as well.
What dive site is at the top of your to wish list? – Anywhere in the Maldives currently.
What sort of food do you pack in your lunch box to eat between dives? – I always visit the burger vans personally!
If you could go diving with someone (dead or alive) who would it be? – David Jason would be pretty cool!
