A quick bio from Stefan Käsweber:

“I learnt to dive in the Gulf of Thailand, after working in the Marketing and Sales Department as a Media Consultant in Germany, I decided to join the PADI professional world and moved to Thailand where I completed my PADI Divemaster and MSDT with PADI CD Ben Walzinger.

I later moved back to Germany and worked for PADI Course Director, Rene Pomsel, in the Diver´s Indoor Divecenter close to Munich, Germany as an all-rounder. Working in all departments from pool-boy to instructor. After this I opened my own restaurant in Munich and ran it successfully for over 4 years. The idea of working as a instructor was still one of my biggest dreams, so I sold my restaurant, my car and everything I owned, packed my old sea-sack with my dive kit and booked my flight to Thailand.

On the very first Island I visited, Koh Phi Phi, having not even booked a room to sleep i got asked by the very first dive centre to teach a PADI Open Water Diver course on the day of my arrival. Not long after working as a instructor for them I got offered the manager’s position, and I took the chance to bring the dive centre to the next level.

Realising I still wanted to teach i moved to Khao Lak to work as an instructor for Khao Lak Scuba Adventures, and eventually got offered the position as the General Manager. As the General Manager, with my team beside me, we brought the dive centre to a PADI 5 Star IDC Centre and one of the largest live-aboard operators in Thailand.

I am very much looking forward to working as a PADI Regional Manager and the new challanges and adventures that Germany will offer me.
