Asutay Akbayir

Born in 1969 in Istanbul, Asutay received his first scuba training in 1983 and joined the Navy Diving School in 1987. Following 10 years of military and industrial diving experience, Asutay established his own diving center in 1996 and joined the PADI Diving Instructors family in 1997, later he became PADI Course Director and Trimix Instructor Trainer in 2006. Following 25+ active years in International Diving Business, he was appointed as PADI Political Advisor in 2012 and PADI Regional Manager/Instructor Examiner in 2018. Asutay who is graduated from a French High School and from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Science of an American University is Fluent in French, English and Turkish. He currently lives in Malta with his family and has a 3,5-year-old daughter. South Med Region covers Malta, Turkey, Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and Libya.

 

 

Chris Ball
Regional Training Consultant

Chris is the Regional Training Consultant for South Med. and has been in this role since 2015. Chris has 18+ years of PADI service in various roles from Customer Services, PRRA and Sales & Training, obtaining extensive knowledge of the PADI product line, eLearning platform and Customer Service procedures along the way. Chris has been a PADI diver since 2005, diving and learning in various conditions across the globe and as such has a good perspective of consumer needs and desires. 

 

 

Amir Khalil

Amir was born in Egypt and has been working as a PADI Pro since 2004. Amir started working for PADI EMEA in 2012 and has held a variety of roles in customer services and sales. Currently, Amir is servicing the South Med. as a Regional Training Consultant and PADI examiner.

 

 

Stefanie Broch

Stefanie was born in Germany and lives in Bristol since 2014. She is the Customer Relations Consultant for various regions, including the South Mediterranean.
Stefanie started working for PADI in Customer Relations in January 2017 and will be able to help with all general enquiries.
Her big passion is about pre-war cars, scuba diving and photography.
She speaks English and German.

 

 

Micaela Fernandez Nasini 
Marketing Executive

Micaela is the Marketing Executive for multiple regions in EMEA, including South Mediterranean. She started to work for PADI to support the members with marketing efforts and marketing tools. On the consumer marketing side, she is raising awareness and driving diver acquisition through various campaigns and partnerships.
Micaela is Argentinian, living in Spain. She started to dive on 2006 and become a PADI instructor in 2022.

 

 

Jonas Samuelsson

Jonas is the Territory Director for wide range of regions in EMEA, including South Mediterranean. Originally from Sweden, his 25+ years in the industry coupled with his 6+ years working at PADI, makes him uniquely qualified in servicing his members with first-hand knowledge and expertise in growing and assisting members in South Mediterranean.
